Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: The Odisha government has suspended Kantamal Block Development Officer (BDO) Sami Reddy Jayashree, OAS-A (JB), with immediate effect.

The Revenue and Disaster Management Department issued the suspension order, stating that disciplinary proceedings against the officer are contemplated.

During the suspension period, her headquarters will remain at the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Division) in Sambalpur. She has been directed not to leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the RDC (Northern Division), Sambalpur.

She will be entitled to a subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule 90 of the Odisha Service Code.

The department has also directed the Boudh Collector to serve the suspension order on the officer and submit draft charges along with a memorandum of evidence against her.
