Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Deaf Cricket Association (ODCA) proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Santosh Kumar Mohapatra on his remarkable selection to Team India’s Deaf Cricket Squad for the upcoming international series against South Africa.

 

The tour will feature three T20 matches and two One Day Internationals (ODIs), scheduled from 26th April 2026 to 2nd May 2026. Santosh Kumar Mohapatra, a talented all-rounder and versatile batsman from Talcher, Angul, Odisha, is widely admired for his quick running between the wickets and exceptional fielding skills. He is regarded as one of the finest fielders in the world of deaf cricket today.

 

He has been actively associated with Youth Sports Club, Talcher since 2006 and the Angul District Cricket Association since 2008, consistently demonstrating dedication and excellence in the sport.

His outstanding achievement reflects his hard work, commitment, and consistent performance in deaf cricket.

 

His selection is a matter of immense pride for ODCA and the entire state of Odisha.

Notably, during the Asia Cup Deaf held from 19th to 25th February 2026 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, Santosh Kumar Mohapatra delivered an excellent performance as a powerful all-rounder, further strengthening his place in the national squad.
