Bhubaneswar, Sept 11: Many prominent leaders are in queue to join Odisha Congress soon, including over a dozen of former party members.
Two former MPs, some MLAs and few retired government officials are scheduled to join the party in the presence of AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge.
The former Congress leaders have contacted national level leaders in Delhi to join the party.
Odisha Congress in-charge A Chellakumar and Sarat Pattanayak are working on a blue print to revive the party ahead of the 2024 election.
Former chief minister of Odisha Giridhar Gamang, his wife and former MP Hema Gamang, son Sishir Gamang, ex- Koraput MP Jayaram Pangi, former Koraput MLA Krushnachandra Sagaria are all set to join Congress, said a party leader.
Besides, the state leaders are in talks with national leadership to lift suspension of Chiranjib Biswal and Barabati-Cuttack MLA Mohammed Moquim.
