Odisha CM Mohan Majhi to inaugurate 650-bed hospital in Baripada

Baripada, June 8: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Baripada in Mayurbhanj district on Monday, where he will inaugurate the newly constructed 650-bed state-of-the-art hospital at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital.

During his visit, the Chief Minister will also address a public gathering at College Ground in Baripada and launch several development projects while laying foundation stones for new initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructure and public services in the district.

According to the official schedule, Majhi will depart from Bhubaneswar and arrive at the temporary helipad at Baripada Police Ground at around 10:45 a.m. He is expected to reach the public meeting venue at College Ground by 11:00 a.m., where he will address citizens as part of the state government's second anniversary celebrations.

The Chief Minister will also virtually inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various projects across Mayurbhanj district during the event.

Later, at around 12:30 p.m., Majhi will travel by road to Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital at Rangamatia, where he will formally inaugurate the newly built 650-bed hospital facility. He is also scheduled to interact with medical students and healthcare professionals at the institution.

After a luncheon programme at the medical college campus, the Chief Minister is expected to leave for Bhubaneswar at around 2:30 p.m.

In view of the high-profile visit, the district administration has made extensive arrangements. Tight security measures have been put in place, with a large deployment of police personnel at key locations across Baripada to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
