Bhubaneswar, August 11: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of Dipu Yadav, a student of Budharaja Upper Primary School in Sambalpur district.
Offering his condolences to the grieving family, Majhi announced an ex-gratia of ₹4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for Yadav’s next of kin.
As per reports, the incident occurred when Yadav stepped outside the school premises and was struck by a piece of iron that fell during railway bridge repair work nearby. He was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
