Bhubaneswar, July 28: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday felicitated Jyotirmayee Nayak, the winner of Indian Idol Season 16.

In recognition of her remarkable achievement, the Chief Minister announced a cash reward of ₹5 lakh.

During the meeting, Jyotirmayee presented her Indian Idol trophy to the Chief Minister and shared her journey to becoming the winner of the prestigious national singing competition.

She spoke about the dedication, perseverance, and hard work that helped her achieve success on one of India's biggest music platforms.

Congratulating the young singer, the Chief Minister said Jyotirmayee had brought immense pride to Odisha by emerging victorious at the national level through her exceptional talent and relentless efforts, with the blessings of Lord Jagannath.

He described her as a source of inspiration for the new generation of singers and aspiring artists across the state.

Highlighting her contributions beyond music, the Chief Minister praised Jyotirmayee for using her musical talent in the field of healthcare.

He noted that she has been providing music therapy to cancer patients in several hospitals across Odisha, helping to ease their suffering and improve their emotional well-being.
