Thousands of worshippers flocked to temples to commemorate Ram Navami, the festival honoring the birth of Lord Ram, with grandeur and enthusiasm throughout Odisha on Wednesday.

Special ceremonies took place at Srimandir in Puri to mark the auspicious Ram Navami, alongside the unique Sahi Jata festivities, integral to Jagannath culture. The preparations for Sahi Jata, including vibrant processions organized by devotees from various 'Akhadas,' have been diligently completed.

 

Across villages and cities in the state, devotees gathered in significant numbers at various sacred sites, including a notable surge at the Sri Ram temple in Bhubaneswar.

 

Meanwhile, the renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik crafted a spectacular sand art installation at Puri sea beach in honor of Ram Navami, featuring a miniature rendition of Ayodhya's Ram temple.
