
Bhubaneswar, Sept 29: Odisha Cabinet on Monday approved a project worth over Rs 226 crore for the development of Maa Tarini Temple in Ghatagaon of Keonjhar district.
The Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, gave its nod to the Works Department’s proposal aimed at the all-round development of the temple precinct.
The project, estimated at Rs 226 crore, will be completed over a span of 24 months and will cover an area of 59.206 acres.
The government has awarded the contract to Dilip Constructions Pvt. Ltd., which placed the lowest tender of Rs 146 crore (excluding GST).

Once completed, the project is expected to transform Maa Tarini Temple into one of India’s major religious tourism destinations.
Notably, Maa Tarini Temple is one of the most revered shrines in Odisha and attracts thousands of pilgrims every year.
