Balangir, May 18: In a tragic incident, the body of a CRPF jawan, who had gone missing on Friday, was found hanging from a tree in Larambha area of Odisha’s Balangir district this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ganeshram Bhoi and the incident has been reported from Ghasian village under Larambha police limits in the district.
As per reports, a group of local villagers first spotted the body hanging from a tree in an isolated area and alerted the police.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
According to Ganeshram's family, he had come back to his hometown on leave just a few days before he went missing. He left his mobile phone at home and couldn't be reached after that.
Further investigation into the matter was underway to ascertain the exact cause of death, said the police.
