Bhubaneswar, August 21: The Monsoon Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence on September 18 and continue till September 25, spanning seven working days. An official notification in this regard has been published on Thursday.

The session is likely to witness heated debates, with the Opposition gearing up to corner the government on several sensitive issues, including the death of an FM College student, the Balanga student burning incident, the Special OTET question paper leak, the Gopalpur sexual abuse case, along with the long-standing Mahanadi water dispute and the Polavaram project.
On the other hand, the state government is preparing to table many significant bills during the week-long session.
