Keonjhar, Aug 27: A three-year-old boy, who had been missing for about six days, was rescued from a forest by villagers in Joda area of Odisha's Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
According to reports, the boy, identified as the son of Subash Munda, went missing on August 21 while playing outside his house. Despite an extensive search by family members, they were unable to locate him.
As a result, they filed a missing person report with the Ruguda Police.
Later on Tuesday, a group of local villagers, while collecting firewood near Guali village under the Rugudi police jurisdiction, found the child lying unconscious with multiple injury marks resembling blisters across his body.
They swiftly took him to Tata Hospital in Joda for medical treatment, where hospital sources later confirmed that his condition is now stable.
Meanwhile, upon receiving the information, the police launched an investigation. They confirmed that a case has been registered and efforts are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
