Odisha: 10 injured as bus carrying wedding party rams into house in Balasore

Balasore, Feb 19: As many as 10 persons were injured after a bus carrying a wedding party rammed into a house in Oupada block of Odisha’s Balasore district late last night.
As per reports, the mishap took place at Jahniapada village under Oupada block when the bus, carrying over 50 wedding guests, en-route to Jhaniapada village from Mitrapur in Nilagiri block.
The driver of the ill-fated vehicle lost control over the wheels and crashed into a house at Panisaunli Square.
The crash was so deafening that residents rushed out of their homes to help rescue the trapped wedding guests. The injured were quickly transported to nearby hospitals in Khaira, Soro, and Oupada.
While more than 10 passengers were injured, one is reported to be in critical condition. However, the bus driver managed to flee the scene.
Upon getting the information, Khaira police arrived at the scene and launched a probe into the incident.
