Bhubaneswar, Aug 29: September 9,(Monday) is a government holiday on account of the Nuakhai, the popular agrarian festival celebrated predominantly in the western Odisha region.
As the phenomenal festivity falls on September 8, which is a Sunday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi declared the next day September 9 as a holiday, as per a release from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
Accordingly, the government offices, educational institutions and magisterial courts will remain closed on Monday,in order to mark the farm- yield based festival,read the release.
