
Patna, Oct 10: The nomination process for the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections is set to begin on Friday, marking a crucial milestone in the high-stakes political contest in the state.
As per reports, the Election Commission of India (ECI) will issue the official notification today following which candidates will begin filing their nomination papers for 121 assembly constituencies across 18 districts.
The first phase of polling, which is scheduled to take place on November 6, will cover 18 districts, including Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Buxar, Bhojpur, Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Munger, Khagaria, Saharsa, and Madhepura.
With the nomination window now open, political activity is gaining pace across Bihar. Rallies, strategy sessions, and candidate selection meetings are underway in full force, particularly among major alliances preparing for what promises to be a fiercely contested election.
Amid the growing election buzz, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal stated on Thursday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will announce its seat-sharing arrangement and list of candidates within the next two to three days.
