Bhubaneswar, Dec 5: There is no threat of Cyclone ‘Michaung' to Odisha now, said the Special Relief Commissioner on Tuesday.
Based on the IMD’s newscast, Special Relief Commissioner Satybrata Sahu said, the Cyclone Michaung is already weakening after landfall in Andhra Pradesh. Due to its effect, Odisha’s, Narayanpatna & Pottangi area reportedly received 25 mm rainfall each. No downpours and cyclonic winds have been reported in other parts of the state so far.
Still, the disaster response units and essential logistics are in place to deal with the possible adverse climatic situations, Sahu added.
