Bhubaneswar, Aug 3: The Ganjam district administration has declared a comprehensive No-Flying Zone, imposing a complete ban on the operation of drones and all other aerial platforms, ahead of the Hon'ble President of India's three-day visit to Odisha beginning today.

The restrictions will remain in force along the President's entire travel route from Brahmapur Railway Station to Taptapani, covering Gosaninugaon, Andhapasara Road, Haridakhandi and Digapahandi Road on August 4 and 5.

The prohibition also extends to the Taptapani Temple Complex, the Army Air Defence College at Golabandha, and all adjoining areas.

As part of the security arrangements, the operation of drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), powered aircraft, paragliders, hot air balloons and all other aerial platforms has been strictly prohibited. The district administration warned that any violation of the order will invite legal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Aircraft Act, the Aircraft Rules, and the Drone Rules.

According to the official itinerary, the President will inaugurate Jagadguru Kripalu University in Cuttack on August 3. On August 4, she will travel by train from Bhubaneswar to Brahmapur before proceeding to Taptapani to offer prayers at the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple and the Shiva Temple. She will subsequently visit the Army Air Defence College in Brahmapur and is scheduled to return on the morning of August 5.
