Bhubaneswar, July 21:While the Odisha government is probing the Nepali girl’s suspicious death case on the KIIT Campus Bhubaneswar, The University Grant Commission (UGC) Panel led by Chairman Prof. Nageswar Rao summitted its report to the government on Saturday.

In its report the UGC panel has reportedly cited regarding the gross discrepancy of the KIIT authorities.

According to reports, the fact-finding committee set up by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on the death of Nepali girl student in the KIIT University Hostel here, has found the sappy ways of management is responsible for the death of the Nepali girl.

The panel clearly mentioned in its report that "Illegal and unlawful activity by the university" led to the death of the Nepali girl this year. It’s why the UGC said that the negligence of the KIIT authorities“Amounts to criminal liability.”

Most significantly, the UGC committee further stated that the KIIT University failed to lawfully redress on the complaint alleging sexual harassment of the girl.The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) almost failed to address the complaint that led to the death of the Nepali girl student who was dreaming a brighter future.
