NEET UG 2025: Final Reminders on Dress Code and Exam Day Guidelines
With the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, May 4th, candidates are reminded to strictly adhere to the official dress code and exam day instructions issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Compliance with these guidelines is crucial for ensuring smooth entry into the examination centre and maintaining the integrity of the testing process.
Exam Day Schedule and Entry
Candidates must arrive at their designated exam centre well in advance. It is important to note that entry will strictly close at 1:30 PM. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter the examination hall.
Mandatory Dress Code
The NTA enforces a specific dress code to facilitate efficient security checks and prevent the use of unfair means.
- Male Candidates: Should wear light-coloured, simple half-sleeve shirts or T-shirts (avoiding large buttons, embroidery, or pockets) paired with simple trousers or pants. Footwear must be open sandals or slippers with thin soles. Full-sleeve shirts, shoes/boots, and accessories like watches or chains are not allowed.
- Female Candidates: Should opt for light-coloured, plain half-sleeve tops or kurtis without elaborate embroidery or designs, worn with simple trousers or salwars. Open slippers or flat sandals (no heels) are permitted. Jewellery of any kind (earrings, rings, nose pins, etc.), decorative hair accessories, high heels, and closed footwear are prohibited.
- Customary Attire: Candidates wearing attire specific to religious or customary practices (e.g., hijab, turban) must have indicated this during application and should report to the centre early to allow sufficient time for frisking.
Allowed and Banned Items
Only essential items are permitted inside the exam hall:
- Allowed: NEET 2025 Admit Card (with self-declaration), valid photo ID, passport-size photo (matching application), transparent water bottle, transparent blue/black ballpoint pen, face mask, small hand sanitiser.
- Banned: All electronic devices (mobiles, smartwatches, calculators), other stationery, wallets/purses, handbags, food items (unless medically necessary), and any printed/written materials.
Candidates are strongly advised to review the official NTA guidelines thoroughly one last time. Adhering strictly to the dress code, reporting time, and the list of permitted items will prevent potential disqualification or denial of entry, ensuring a smooth and focused exam experience tomorrow.
