Patna, April 15: Leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), including BJP and JD(U) representatives, extended their congratulations to Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday following his swearing-in as Bihar’s new Chief Minister, succeeding Nitish Kumar after his election to the Rajya Sabha. The leaders expressed confidence that Choudhary would continue the developmental journey laid out by his predecessor and lead Bihar toward progress.

Alongside Choudhary, senior JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers under the newly formed alliance.

Speaking to the media after the ceremony, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Chaudhary outlined the goals of the new government, stating, "The objectives are clearly defined. Our Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, has reiterated that Bihar will continue on the path of development, good governance, and inclusive growth that Nitish Kumar has championed."

Chaudhary emphasized the government's commitment to building on the initiatives started by Nitish Kumar. "We are dedicated to carrying forward the work begun by Nitish Kumar. All of us, including CM Samrat Choudhary, have had the opportunity to work closely with him, and we will continue to implement and complete his projects."

Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed confidence in Choudhary’s leadership, highlighting his experience and capabilities. "Samrat Choudhary is sharp and experienced. He was a key member of our cabinet. The Patna Metro, which is now a reality, was a project we envisioned, and Samrat Choudhary, as Urban Development Minister, played a pivotal role in bringing it to fruition," Manjhi said.

Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar also expressed his faith in the new leadership, remarking, "Samrat Choudhary brings significant experience in governance and organization. Under his leadership, Bihar will see the rule of law, and his government will work to implement schemes for farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged."

Kumar further noted, "The government will aim to align Bihar with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’"

Union Minister of State Nityanand Rai added that Bihar’s progress would continue with Choudhary at the helm, guided by Nitish Kumar’s legacy and supported by Prime Minister Modi’s blessings.

Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) leader Upendra Kushwaha also offered his support, stating, "Samrat Choudhary has taken on an important responsibility, and we are all with him in fulfilling it. His government will work efficiently and effectively."

BJP leader Dilip Kumar Jaiswal pointed out that Nitish Kumar had laid out a roadmap for Bihar’s development through initiatives like ‘Saat Nishchay-3,’ the Pragati Yatra, and Samriddhi Yatra. "Under Samrat Choudhary’s leadership, this vision of development will come to fruition," Jaiswal affirmed.

BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav echoed this sentiment, saying, "Bihar will thrive under CM Choudhary’s leadership, fulfilling the dreams of both Prime Minister Modi and Nitish Kumar."

State BJP President Sanjay Saraogi added, "Bihar will progress and develop further with Samrat Choudhary leading the state."

BJP National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain remarked, "We are fortunate that the NDA now holds the Chief Minister’s post. This is an NDA government, and we will continue the legacy of Nitish Kumar’s work."

JD(U) MP Kaushalendra Kumar, while congratulating the new CM and Deputy CMs, noted, “It appears that Nitish Kumar still holds a special place in the hearts of the people. However, Samrat Choudhary now faces a significant challenge in continuing the work that Nitish Kumar has done over the past two decades.”

Kumar acknowledged the challenge Choudhary faces but expressed optimism about his ability to carry the baton forward. “It remains to be seen how he continues the work Nitish Kumar has initiated,” Kumar concluded.
