Bhubaneswar, November 8: In view of the prevailing flood situation in Ganjam district and the ongoing relief, rehabilitation and restoration activities, the district administration has cancelled the Sunday holiday for all government employees.

According to an order issued by the Ganjam Collector, all officers and staff of district, sub-divisional and block offices, along with other government establishments, have been directed to attend duty as usual on Sunday, November 8, 2026.

The decision has been taken to ensure smooth and timely execution of emergency response, relief and rehabilitation operations in the flood-affected areas.

The administration has warned that any violation of the order will be viewed seriously and disciplinary action will be initiated against officials found failing to comply with the directive.
