Bhubaneswar, June 18: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, on Tuesday informed that he will undergo a medical procedure for cervical arthritis on June 22 at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
The veteran leader shared the update via a social media post, assuring the people of Odisha of his return soon after the procedure.
“As advised by medical experts I would be undergoing a procedure for cervical arthritis on 22nd of this month at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. My personal doctor Dr Ramakant Panda is coordinating this in Mumbai,” Patnaik said in his statement.
The five-time former Chief Minister, widely respected for his calm and composed leadership, also expressed his faith in divine blessings and the support of the people.
“With blessings of Lord Jagannatha and good wishes of my brothers and sisters of Odisha, looking forward to returning soon to continue to serve all of you,” he added.
