Bhubaneswar: The 38th National (Under 7) Open and Girls Chess Championships 2025, hosted by the All Odisha Chess Association and supported by the All India Chess Federation and the Department of Sports Youth Services, Government of Odisha, began with great enthusiasm at KT Global School, Khordha on Sunday.

Altogether players from across 27 States of India, marking the start of an exciting event showcasing strategic thinking and sportsmanship among young chess players.
The championships offer a total prize fund of ₹5,00,000/- (₹2,50,000/- for each category) for top 20 players.
