Bhubaneswar, August 31: Renowned Odia music director Abhijit Majumdar has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Cuttack’s CDA area following serious health complications.

 Majumdar, who has been under treatment for liver-related ailments for the past few days, reportedly developed severe electrolyte imbalance, with low sodium and potassium levels further aggravating his condition.

 Sources said the composer’s health deteriorated after he performed at multiple music programmes during the Ganesh Puja celebrations on August 27. He was initially rushed to a private medical facility in Cuttack after his condition worsened.

 On Sunday, he was shifted to the CDA-based hospital and admitted to the emergency ward, where he is currently receiving critical care.
