New Delhi, September 24: The southwest monsoon has made an early departure from Delhi and its surrounding areas, leaving the capital a day ahead of its usual schedule, as confirmed by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.
This is the earliest withdrawal since 2002, when the monsoon retreated on September 20. By comparison, the monsoon typically ends around October 2, as seen in 2024.
Although the season's exit came early, Delhi experienced a notably wet monsoon this year.
