Bhubaneswar, January 1: On New Year's Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a meeting with newly appointed Chief Secretary Anu Garg, outlining key administrative priorities for the state. In line with Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047, Majhi stressed the need for a clean, dynamic, and people-centric administration.

Key directives included fast-tracking industrial clearances, prioritizing knowledge-driven industries, enforcing zero tolerance to corruption, and ensuring exclusive use of Odia in official communication. Majhi emphasized that the next two years are crucial to achieving Odisha’s goal of a $500-billion economy by 2036 and ranking among India’s top five developed states.

The CM ordered that all vacant government positions be filled within two years, and officials identified as inefficient or corrupt should face strict disciplinary action, including compulsory retirement. Continuous evaluations of government schemes and strengthening the Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for research were also highlighted.

Furthermore, Majhi made it clear that all official work must be conducted in Odia, warning of penalties for non-compliance. He urged timely grievance redressal at all levels of administration and mandated field visits to ensure issues are addressed on the ground.
