Malkangiri, June 5: A doctor who had gone missing from Odisha’s Malkangiri area on June 1, has been traced from Karnataka on Wednesday.
The physician, identified as Amlan Bhoi, who was serving in the Kalimela Community Health Centre in the Malkangiri district, was safely rescued by police, said sources.
Malkangiri SP while briefing media persons said, Dr Amlan was located in Karnataka. He is safe and healthy. A team of police is on the way to Odisha that is bringing Dr Amlan abode shortly.
The mystery behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. However, Dr Amlan was not kidnapped by Maoists.Investigation is underway to exhume the mystery shrouded over the incident, the SP added.
Worth mentioning, Doctor Amlan had gone missing from his government residence at Kalimela all of a sudden. Two suspected letters, apprehended as threats from the Mao-cadres, were seized from his bedroom on the very fateful day that put the police in a crossword.
