Puri, Sept 9: In a swift and strategic operation, Puri police rescued a minor from a guest house in the Narendra Kona area after receiving credible intelligence regarding a kidnapping.

According to police sources, three individuals allegedly abducted the minor and transported him to Puri, where he was kept hidden in a local guest house. Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Puri SP Prateek Singh, along with senior officials, conducted a raid at the location. The minor was successfully rescued during the operation.

However, the accused managed to flee the scene upon spotting the police. Efforts are currently underway to trace and apprehend the suspects.

The vehicle used in the abduction has been seized from the Jagannath Ballav parking area. Police are also examining CCTV footage and other evidence to track the culprits.

While the motive behind the kidnapping remains unclear, preliminary speculation suggests a possible ransom demand. Authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the rescued minor or his place of origin, citing the sensitivity of the case.
