Arun Srinivas to Lead Meta's India Operations

Meta has named Arun Srinivas as the new Managing Director and Head for the company in India. The appointment comes as part of a broader leadership shuffle and follows the recent departure of Shivnath Thukral, the company's vice-president and head of public policy in the country. Srinivas is set to transition into his new role effective July 1, 2025.

This move also follows the recent announcement that Sandhya Devanathan's role has been expanded to lead both the India and Southeast Asia markets. Srinivas will continue to report to Devanathan in his new capacity.

An Experienced Leader

Arun Srinivas brings nearly three decades of high-level experience in sales and marketing to his new position. A post-graduate from IIM Kolkata, his impressive career includes leadership roles at major corporations such as Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, and Ola, as well as at the investment firm WestBridge Capital.

Since joining Meta in 2020, Srinivas has been serving as the Director and Head of Ads Business in India. In this role, he has been instrumental in managing Meta's relationships with the country's largest advertisers and agency partners. His work has focused on driving key revenue priorities for the company, particularly in the areas of AI, Reels, and Messaging.

A New Mandate

In his elevated role as the head of Meta India, Srinivas will be responsible for bringing the organization's business, innovation, and revenue goals together. According to a company blog post, his focus will be on serving partners and clients while continuing to support the long-term growth of Meta's business and its commitment to the Indian market. This appointment places a proven business leader at the top, tasked with steering the company's multifaceted operations in a cohesive and strategic direction.
