Bhubaneswar, April 30: While the youth or student community now, is very conscious for own health, wealth and lucrative career, a unity of students in the Capital City Bhubaneswar is dedicating their quality times in serving animals in distress.
A three-member squad of an animal lovers’ outfit on Wednesday treated a straying bull that’s struggling with life bearing a gangrened leg, following an FMD infection.
Getting a phone call from a Prameya News7 family member, youth volunteers Krishna Naik, Rakesh Mallik and Debadutta Rout, hurried to reach the Khandagiri Melan Ground, to serve the ailing bull.
While, the unscripted veterinarians took stock of the matter, closely monitoring the wound in the ungulate’s hoof, likely infested with the fatal Aphthovirus microbes, Rakesh and Debadutta could daringly manage to ground the jumbo bull. With tiring efforts, they tied it to an RCC pole for medical interventions. Anyway, as the bull was controlled with a piece of rope, the young activists dressed the gangrened hoof with essential medicines, washed up the budding worms from the entire hoof, administered an injection for prompt healing and carefully bandaged the foot. Apart from it, they applied camphor and Shorea Robusta resins in rest three hoofs to contain the infections in them. Following the instant treatment, the bull was blessed with a new lease of life and began moving slowly in the ground with grazing green grass from the surrounding.
As the service mission of the youths and their love & solidarity towards animals caught sight of the bystanders, many lauded their noble ventures.
The man behind the uncommon mission, Krishna Naik is a mere bizman while Rakesh Mallik is a science graduate & in search of Job, and Debadutta Rout is a techie. Rout is serving in a South-Africa-based repute IT Firm. The group is dedicated to this short of service especially working more than that of an ‘Animal Helpline’, leaving behind workout, games, meeting and Partying.
Despite their busy schedules of study, profession and leisurely pursuits, the kitty group of scholars, techies and entrepreneurs, rush to the spot to rescue animals from danger.Whether, it’s a pet animal, stray dog, cow or even an endangered wildlife stranded anywhere that’s in distress, the dedicated team swings into action to serving them selflessly heading risk and spending sizeable amounts for nourishing them, to save precious lives of enormous dumbs.
