Hyderabad, Oct 28: A massive fire erupted at Paras Fireworks, a firecracker shop in Hyderabad's Abids area, on Sunday, quickly spreading to a neighboring restaurant.
The intense blaze caused minor injuries to a woman and destroyed at least eight parked cars, according to police reports.
Authorities confirmed that the fireworks shop was operating illegally without any license. Emergency personnel responded swiftly, deploying three fire engines to the scene to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to other buildings in the densely populated area. The fire was extinguished by 10:45 pm.
Sultan Bazar ACP K. Shankar stated, "The shop has no certificate. It was an illegal establishment, and we will take strict action against them." Eyewitnesses captured visuals of people fleeing the shop as the fire ignited, creating a chaotic scene.
