Bhubaneswar, Sep 8: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has suspended Manmath Routray, son of Congress legislator Suresh Routray from the party.
The Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) of OPCC has suspended Manmath for indiscipline activities.
In a letter, DAC Chairman Santosh Singh Saluja said Manmath had given a statement in the media that he is independent and has no connection with any political party.
“Though you are a PCC member, you have particularly said that you don’t belong to Indian National Congress. You have also said that you are free to visit to BJP office and BJD office. You were served a show-cause notice yesterday but you didn’t respond to it,” said Saluja in the letter.
