The victim, Laxman Gouda, was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with an arrow lodged 8 inches deep inside his body. Doctors reported that he had lost approximately 1.5 liters of blood before treatment began.
A special surgical team led by Professor Dr. Abhisek Patra, along with Dr. Mrutyunjay Mallik (Anesthesiologist), Associate Professor Dr. Gopal Nayak, and OT staff, performed the complex operation. The surgery began at 10 PM and concluded around 1 AM, lasting nearly three hours.
“The operation was extremely challenging due to the depth and position of the arrow,” said Dr. Patra. “Such cases are very rare at our facility.”
Following the successful procedure, Laxman's condition is reported to be stable. His brother, Ganesh Gouda, extended heartfelt gratitude to the medical team for their swift and skilled response.
