Badamba, Ap 1: In a significant crackdown against the black marketing of domestic gas cylinders, the Food and Civil Supplies Department, in collaboration with Badamba police, carried out a large-scale operation in Jhajia village, under the jurisdiction of Badamba police station.

The operation targeted shops involved in the illegal sale of gas cylinders. A total of 37 cylinders were seized, including 13 filled gas cylinders and 24 empty ones. The raid was conducted after receiving specific information about a gas agency which was reportedly involved in the black marketing of domestic cylinders.

Vishnu Charan Parida, the Supply Officer from Athagarh, led the operation along with the Badamba police. The crackdown was part of ongoing efforts by the authorities to curb the illegal distribution and sale of domestic gas cylinders, ensuring that they reach genuine consumers and prevent them from being sold at inflated prices in the black marketing.

Further investigations are underway, and the authorities have assured that stricter measures will be taken against those involved in such illegal activities.
