Coimbatore, February 12:Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will serve as the chief guest at the 33rd edition of Sadhguru’s Isha Mahashivratri celebrations, scheduled for February 15 in Coimbatore. The event will also be graced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs, L. Murugan, as per a statement issued on Thursday.

The night-long event promises to be a vibrant blend of devotion, music, and meditation. It is expected to reach an impressive global audience of over 140 million viewers, with live broadcasts in 23 languages, spanning more than 100 TV channels and digital platforms.

Known as the "Great Night of Shiva," Mahashivratri marks a unique celestial event when the natural surge of energy in the human system is especially aligned for spiritual growth. The statement further elaborated on the significance of this phenomenon.

Sadhguru emphasized the location’s spiritual resonance, stating, "We are situated at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains, often referred to as the Kailash of the South, where it is believed that Lord Shiva himself meditated for over three months." He also noted the geographical significance, with the Isha Foundation’s location positioned at the crucial eleven-degree latitude, where planetary forces are at their peak, enhancing the natural upsurge of energy. He affirmed that Mahashivaratri is the night when this energy reaches its zenith, making the event an extraordinary occasion for attendees.
