Bhubaneswar, March 29: While Kotia group of villages on the Odisha-Andhra borderline in Koraput has been a porous entry-point for the neighboring state, the numbness of Odisha government is yet is coming more catalytic.
The Andhra admin, trespassing into the Odisha territory, is taking up extensive projects, in order to woo the people residing here in almost 21 bordering villages.
With a fresh strategic move, seeming to be more detrimental for the Odisha governance, the Andhra administration is excuting a number of development projects in and around the Kotia village.
According to the locals of Kotia, the Andhra officials are irresistibly entering the Odisha villages and taking up Andhra –sponsored projects in the Odisha territory.Among other significant projects, the Andhrar officials chalked out here, a 10,0000 overhead water tank, and rolled out a massive campaign for EKYC updatation in the Kotia group of villages.
The recent intrusion of Andhra officials raised serious concerns about Andhra Pradesh’s continued efforts to assert control over the border villages.
According to sources, officials from Andhra Pradesh visited Neredivalsa village on Friday, where they gathered pensioners, students, and differently-abled individuals to update their Know Your Customer (KYC) details online.
Apart from it, Andhra authorities have assured quanta of fabulous freebies for the locals, to woo them towards the Andhra government.
Despite these cunning steps taken by the Andhra Pradesh government deliberately, there has been no official resistance ever response from the local Odisha administration.
Reports also added that, the locals and Koraput admin had paused the construction work initiated by the Andhra Rural Water Supply department. However, the sky-kissing & huge water tank now stands strong on Odisha’s chest which only awaits formal inauguration, reportedly by a prominent leader of Andhra.
According to some local politicians and elites, the Odisha government should initiate bold & strategic steps, to get rid of the hide & seek of the unscrupulous neighbor, played by the Andhra government.
