Bhubaneswar: Konark Suryas Odisha is eyeing for a back to back victory in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024, the team led by skipper Irfan Pathan in the second league round match is again going to face defending champion Manipal Tigers at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium at Surat on Friday.
In their inaugural match on 20th September, scripted a thrilling two run victory against Manipal Tigers at Barkatullah Stadium in Jodhpur.
Batting first in a slow track, Konark Suryas managed to put up a modest total of 104 for 9 in 20 overs. But their bowlers displayed a fine effort in the field and helped them to restrict Manipal Tigers at 102 for 8 and registered a two runs victory to start their campaign with a winning note.
Team Konark Suryas, Odisha is now among the six teams of this league, namely India Capitals Delhi, Gujarat Giants Gujarat, Manipal Tigers Bengaluru, Urbanrisers Hyderabad, Southern SuperStars Chennai will play total of 25 matches at four different venues Jodhpur, Surat, Jammu and Kashmir and the top two teams will play the final on October 16.
