Nayagarh, Sept 25: A kid’s suspicious death in Nayagarh Hospital during treatment wreaked havoc in the medical premises on Thursday.

As the bereaved parents cried sheer negligence of the attending doctor, mob barged into the facility and vandalized public properties with staging protest on the campus.

According to reports a two and half-year kid was administered Polio vaccine a few days ago. As the parents alleged, their kid went ill after receiving the polio drops. Following this they admitted the child to the Nayagarh DHH for treatment. However, the kid succumbed to fever during treatment that triggered a protest as the bereaved parents alleged of medical negligence.

On being informed, the police controlled the mob and discussed with the mob to restrain them from taking law into hand.

The precise reason behind the kid’s death is yet unclear as the hospital authorities issued no formal comment in this connection.
