Bhawanipatna, Mar 6: A sudden fire engulfed a vegetable shop at Amapani Bus Stand on National Highway-26 under Kokasara block, leaving the owner, Shanti, devastated.

Shanti, who had been running the shop for several years to support her family and care for her ailing husband, lost all her stock of vegetables, fruits, and other items when the blaze broke out late last night. The fire spread rapidly, consuming the shop within minutes.

Firefighters from the Kokasara fire station rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control, but the shop was completely destroyed.

Now left helpless, Shanti is anxious about how she will sustain her family. Local villagers have urged the administration to provide immediate financial assistance to help her recover from the loss.
