According to the Vigilance Department, Nayak was taken into custody following searches at multiple locations linked to him. He is scheduled to be produced before the Court of the Special Vigilance Judge in Cuttack.

During the raids, Vigilance officials reportedly unearthed substantial assets that the accused could not satisfactorily account for.
