Cuttack, September 8:The 144th Authority Meeting of the Cuttack Development Authority (KDA) was held on Tuesday at the KDA Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Housing & Urban Development Minister and KDA Chairman Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra.
The meeting was attended by CMC Mayor Subash Chandra Singh, Director of Town Planning and Additional Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department Satrughna Kar, KDA Vice-Chairperson Kirandeep Kaur Sahota, KDA Secretary Janak Kumar Nayak and other senior officials.
The Authority reviewed and approved several key initiatives aimed at improving urban infrastructure and civic amenities in Cuttack. Development of Sector-15 was approved with a focus on planned and integrated urban growth.
The meeting also discussed strengthening social infrastructure through the development of schools, hospitals and community halls. The progress of the Town Planning Scheme at Chandiprasad was reviewed, with officials directed to expedite the ongoing process.
Special emphasis was placed on affordable housing projects to ensure safe, quality and affordable homes for different sections of society.
Dr. Mahapatra said the meeting also reviewed the progress of various Town Planning Schemes, the Mahanadi River Front Development Project and road construction projects.
The Authority further decided to establish a dedicatedKapda Mandiand prepare a comprehensive city decongestion plan to improve traffic management, reduce congestion and strengthen Cuttack’s overall urban infrastructure.
