Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: In a major update for new beneficiaries of the Subhadra Scheme, the state government has announced that eligible women will receive two installments at once in the New Year. The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida.

Speaking to the media, Parida said, “The beneficiary portal has been reopened, and women who have turned 21 are being automatically registered. Our department is working to ensure that every eligible woman receives the Subhadra funds.”

According to recent field inspections, over 17 lakh women had not yet joined the Subhadra scheme. Currently, 1.03 crore women have received their first or second installment, with 97.51 lakh women having received the Subhadra amount so far.

The state government is pushing to ensure complete coverage under the scheme, aiming to bring all eligible women into the system.
