Mumbai, August 14: Popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) has returned to the small screen with its 17th season, once again hosted by legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. In a tribute to India’s Independence Day, a special episode dedicated to the bravery and service of women officers from the Indian Armed Forces is set to air on August 15 at 9 PM on Sony TV.
The episode will spotlight the contributions of three distinguished officers who played a significant role in Operation Sindoor, a mission carried out by Indian forces. Featured in the episode are:
Colonel Sophia Qureshi – Indian Army
Wing Commander Bhawna Singh – Indian Air Force
Commander Prerna Deosthale – Indian Navy
According to the promo released by Sony Entertainment Television, the trio will share first-hand insights into Operation Sindoor, highlighting its planning, execution, and strategic importance.
Colonel Qureshi, in the teaser, underscores the need for the operation, stating, “Pakistan had been taking such actions, so it was necessary to respond. That’s why Operation Sindoor was planned.”
Wing Commander Singh detailed the operation's swift execution, saying, “From 1:05 to 1:30 in the night, within 25 minutes, the mission was accomplished.”
Commander Deosthale added that “the targets were successfully neutralised without any civilian casualties.”
Reflecting the spirit of modern India, Colonel Qureshi remarked, “This is a new India, with a new mindset.”
The promo concludes on a patriotic note, with both the audience and host Amitabh Bachchan raising the slogan, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
