Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: Further cementing its leadership position as the No. 1 digital service provider in Odisha, Reliance Jio has added highest new subscribers in the month of August 2023, as per the latest telecom subscriber data released by TRAI, on Thursday.

With this, Jio has further consolidated its No. 1 position in the state in both wireless and wireline segments with the highest 1.44 crore mobile subscribers and 2.45 lakh JioFiber high-speed broadband subscribers as on August 31, 2023. As per the latest telecom subscriber data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio has added over 28000 new mobile subscribers and over 7000 new JioFiber high-speed broadband subscribers in the month of August 2023. The overall number of mobile subscribers in the state increased by over 46000 during this period, taking total number of mobile subscribers in Odisha to over 3.36 crores.
Nationally, Jio also added highest number of mobile subscribers in the month as over 32.45 lakh new subscribers joined Jio network in August 2023, revealed the latest telecom subscriber data published by TRAI. With this Jio now has over 44.57 crore mobile subscribers in the country as on August 31, 2023. Reliance Jio also added over 1.78 lakh JioFiber high speed broadband subscribers in August taking the total number of JioFiber subscribers in the country to over 1.03 crore.
It is worth mentioning that Reliance Jio has been the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha with highest number of subscribers as well as the highest revenue market share of 52% in the industry. As the No.1 digital service provider in Odisha, Jio has been rapidly expanding its True 5G network across Odisha and is the first telecom operator having 5G network presence in all districts of the state. Jio is also the only service provider to have spectrum in the premium 700 MHz band, considered more suitable for 5G network deployment.
