Bhubaneswar, July 12: In a tragic incident, a jawan was found hanging from a tree on the 7th Battalion campus in Bhubaneswar this morning.
The deceased jawan has been identified as Duryodhan Mohanty, a sepoy of 2002 batch.
As per reports, some Batallion authorities spotted Duryodhan’s body hanging and alerted the police.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem. However, the exact cause behind the jawan’s death is yet to be ascertained.
A case of unnatural death has been registered and further investigation the matter is underway, said the police.
