Mumbai, June 25: Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was felicitated at the prestigious Italian Global Series (IGS) Festival 2025, held in Rimini, Italy. The event, which drew several international stars including Kevin Spacey and Adjoa Andoh of Bridgerton fame, saw Fernandez being honoured for her significant contributions to cinema and storytelling.
Taking to Instagram, the Housefull 5 star shared glimpses from the festival’s grand opening night. Dressed in a stunning white ensemble, Fernandez turned heads on the red carpet and expressed heartfelt gratitude in her post.
"Cinema as an art for me is not just about storytelling but a way to connect people across time, language and continents. To be acknowledged for helping share that with the world means more than words can express! Grazie di cuore," she wrote. "It was an honour to be awarded here in Rimini at your prestigious event with all the extraordinary awardees in attendance. Here's to many more moments for us to celebrate cinema across the globe."
She also shared a celebratory photograph alongside actress Adjoa Andoh, both holding their respective awards.
Fernandez’s recent film Housefull 5 features a star-studded ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, and others. The film marks a milestone as the first Indian franchise to reach five instalments, continuing the legacy that began in 2010.
The IGS Festival is known for recognising talent that bridges global cinematic narratives, and Fernandez's accolade further cements her position as one of Indian cinema's international ambassadors.
