Ivory worth Rs50 lakh seized in Boudh; One arrested

Boudh, June 2: In a major crackdown on illegal wildlife trade, the Special Task Force (STF) has seized ivory worth approximately ₹50 lakh near Telibandha Chhak under the jurisdiction of Jarada police station.
Acting on a tip-off, STF officials intercepted and arrested a wildlife trafficker identified as Pramod Parida. Two elephant tusks were recovered from his possession during the operation.
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the seizure and are probing the accused’s links to a larger wildlife smuggling network.
