Bhubaneswar, Nov 3: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi congratulated the Indian Women's Cricket team for their historic victory in the Women's Cricket World Cup Final against South Africa. Majhi shared his excitement on social media platform X, calling the win a proud moment for the nation and a testament to the strength of 'Bharatiya Naarishakti' at its peak. Along with his message, he posted a video of himself watching the match on TV.

"Congratulations to Team India on this emphatic win of the first-ever Women's Cricket World Cup. This is a proud moment for us, witnessing history in the making and our Bharatiya Naarishakti shining brightly. This was the best way to end a busy Sunday. Girls, your victory is an inspiration to millions at home, to those like us who cheered for you throughout the tournament, and to every girl who dares to dream," Majhi wrote.

He also wished the team continued success, adding, “Wishing this band of sisters continued success.”

Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, Minister Pravati Parida, and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik also extended their congratulations to the women’s team.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida took to X, praising the team with a message: "From Verma’s power to Sharma’s charm, Bharat’s daughters shine again!"

Meanwhile, Naveen Patnaik described the victory as a "golden chapter in the history of Indian sport," marking a monumental achievement in the nation's sporting legacy.
