Bhubaneswar, August 26: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik has announced significant leadership changes in the party’s student and youth wings.

Ipsita Sahu has been appointed as the new president of the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD), the student wing of the party. The revamped BCJD team features Debesh Acharya as Senior General Secretary (Student Affairs), with Debi Ranjan Tripathy, Subhasis Khuntia, and Souvic Biswal serving as General Secretaries (Student Affairs).

In a parallel move, Chinmaya Sahu has been named president of the Biju Yuba Janata Dal (BYJD), the youth wing of the party. The BYJD’s core team includes Byomakesh Ray as Senior General Secretary (Youth Affairs), alongside Rajendra Kumar Sahoo, Amaresh Patri, and Sanjit Mohanty as General Secretaries (Youth Affairs).

These appointments are seen as part of BJD’s efforts to strengthen its grassroots engagement and mobilize the youth and student communities ahead of future political challenges.
