Bengaluru, Apr 02: After winning the toss, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis opted to bowl first against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, here on Tuesday.
Local boy and LSG captain K L Rahul, who played as an impact substitute in their last match, was back in squad as a full-time skipper on his favourite ground.
The home team, RCB left out Alzarri Joseph out of their playing XI. They brought back England left-arm pacer Reece Topley in his place, perhaps expecting more swing on the grassy surface.
Lucknow Super Giants too had a change, as they left out their injured left-arm seamer Mohsin Khan. Vidarbha's right-arm quick Yash Thakur replaced him.
