Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: In connection with the Police Sub-Inspector (SI) examination question paper leak scam, five individuals appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on summons. According to official sources, the CBI had formally called all five persons for questioning as part of its ongoing probe into the recruitment scam.

Among those who appeared were three SI examination candidates, while the remaining two attended in their personal capacity. The questioning is aimed at uncovering the larger conspiracy behind the leak of the SI examination question paper, which had triggered widespread outrage and raised serious concerns about the integrity of the recruitment process.

The SI scam came to light after allegations surfaced that the question paper was leaked prior to the examination, allegedly in exchange for money, giving unfair advantage to select candidates. Following preliminary investigations, the case was handed over to the CBI to ensure an impartial and thorough inquiry.

The central agency is examining the role of candidates, middlemen, and any officials who may have been involved in the leak. Officials said further questioning and additional summons cannot be ruled out as the investigation progresses.
